    FOUNDING ATTORNEY AND CEO

    Early in my legal career, I volunteered at the Redwood City Probate Court. Families would argue over who would manage and inherit the money, and who would take care of the kids and grandparents. I saw so much heartache and expense that could have been avoided with good quality estate planning, and have been devoted to guiding my clients through estate planning and probate ever since. Every day I help my clients make things easier for the people, pets, and charities most important to them.

    A Bay Area native, I earned my JD at the University of San Francisco School of Law, after laying a solid foundation at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

    Outside of work I love to travel, hike, trail run, compete in obstacle course races, photograph wildlife, and provide the best possible life for my fur babies.

  • Bernadette Burton

    PARALEGAL

    I became a Paralegal in 2013 graduating from DeAnza college with an AA in Paralegal Studies and from San Jose State University with a Bachelor's degree in Justice Studies in 2015. I have worked in family law, criminal law, and estate planning, including working for Marisa on and off since 2016.

    I was born and raised in the Bay Area, but in 2022 I picked up and moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, after meeting my now-husband in 2021. I am enjoying exploring a new place and picking up new hobbies, such as fishing. The bugs and the heat aren't the best, but the Gulf Coast might shock you with its beauty, history, and more. In my free time, I love to run, work out, learn about wine, and bake.
